PETR BRANCUSKÝBOTANICAL
PAVILION
ZAN NAVRÁTIL/MUDRA - FA CTU

The semester’s main work was preceded by composition exercises, from which we were to be inspired by some of the principles and apply them to the design of the pavilion. For me it was point symmetry.

I designed a lightweight wooden structure, but most importantly a place that could eventually be covered with many species of plants. I wanted to interweave this space so that it could be traversed in as many ways as possible.

This way people can walk around and around and be a bit lost in the jungle + each time they take a different path they can see the plants again but from a different perspective.
